The title sounds a bit silly, doesn't it? The better question here would really be why wouldn't you build a strong online presence for your brand, wouldn't it? The simple fact of the matter is that there are so many reasons you should be constantly reaching further into your audience online that it's impossible to list them all…
…So let's focus on the single most important one: it's where most of your customers and clients are these days.
An Increasingly Mobile World
Remember when a cell phone seemed like a luxury? Remember when it was considered an indulgence? OK, now ask anyone who's owned one for more than a year how efficiently they would be able to run their lives without them. See? They've rapidly evolved from an indulgence to a necessity, and that leaves you with a responsibility to place your brand as a necessary part of their lives whenever they need your services.
So how do you do it?
Well … does your limo company have a mobile app? That’s a great place to start-create a user-friendly mobile app that allows people to book rides, then feeds them information like who their driver is, the car he or she will be arriving in, the license plate number, and so on. You can also include GPS tracking to let people know where their limo is and when it will be there to pick them up.
Once you've developed your app, display links to it prominently and liberally on your website with a call to action to download and install it. Require an email address to complete the install, and you just increased your email list while providing something of value. It's a win/win.
Social media is clearly dominating the Internet these days and it's a trend that shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. The thing about social media, though, is that people can tell when you're simply "phoning it in," so to speak. Successful social media marketing starts and ends with you being a presence, not just a page. You build your audience by interacting with the people in it and by making sure that your content is always fresh and interesting.
It's even OK to stray off-point now and then and post content that may not deal directly with limousines, but might be interesting to the people who hire them. The better you get to know your audience, the easier it will be to do this, and people really appreciate it when you divide your time between selling and relationship building.
