When you look back at 2015 and evaluate your social media marketing efforts, what kind of things stand out? We're willing to bet that it was business as usual: You had some great interaction on some of your posts, you got a few likes and shares on the posts you decided to boost or advertise, and there was a lot content that probably could have stood to be seen by more people because "Come on-that was a great picture!"
Well, it probably was a great picture, but there are reasons why nobody saw it and it has everything to with how it was marketed. The good news is that there are things you can do to ensure that your best content does get seen in the future, and we think that if you make these few key changes, 2016 can be the year you really see you marketing efforts explode.
#1-Drive more traffic to your blog from social media.
This year, resolve to keeping a high-quality, search engine-optimized blog that's amply stocked with great content that's both original and curated. Channel your advertising dollars into your original content and make sure that content is free of sales language save for a call to action to check out your services or book a ride. Also make sure that it’s 100-percent unique, from copy to visuals, and use those visuals to promote across all your active social networks.
#2-Post more content that appeals to your target audience.
Remember that your audience has interests outside of limousines. You need to post content that appeals to them, and that doesn't always allude to or angle for them doing business with you. This year, commit to being more social on social media. Do your research and see what kind of content promotes likes, shares, retweets, etc.
#3-Test the waters with at least one new network.
Start an account with a social network you haven't tapped yet. You might even want to invest in a course on marketing to that platform so you spend less time spinning your wheels and more time reaching the people you need to reach.
#4-If something isn't working, take the hint.
Stop spending money and time on things that aren't giving you a respectable return. Remember that just because other companies have a lot of success on a certain platform, that doesn't mean that yours will. Don’t waste time and money trying to make things work. Your audience is just that: it's your audience, so learn what buttons to push to get a response from them.
As a final note, always remember that the market wants what it wants, and its wants change over time. This is why it's so crucial that you commit to-pardon the pun, but-rolling with it and constantly re-assessing what's going to work and what isn't in your marketing efforts.
