When it comes to limousine marketing and the limo business in general, one of the most important marketing resources that you have at your disposal is social media. Gone are the days where limo marketing depended on spending huge amounts of money on yellow page ads, billboards, and other similar ways to get the word out about your company. Social media is already connecting millions of people together all over the world – it would be a crime to ignore all the possibilities that it has to offer. The factor that you need to keep in mind, however, is that you need to be using social media correctly. Just having a Facebook page or a Twitter profile isn’t enough – if you fail to utilize it properly, it could significantly amount of harm to your brand.
One of the things that you need to consider when using social media is that you need to be posting relevant content that people want to see. If you have a Twitter page for your limo business and only ever post links that redirect the reader back to your homepage, you won’t amass a significant amount of followers and you won’t be able to successfully penetrate the marketplace. You need to post links to stories that are relevant to people who want to learn more about the services that you have to offer. Only then will these potential customers start sharing your content, which will result in more and more people discovering what you have to offer.
You should also take into consideration that your brand needs to be posting content on a regular basis. The act of getting someone to find the Facebook page for your business isn’t the challenging part of establishing a social media presence. Keeping those potential customers not only engaged but coming back on a regular basis requires you to constantly update your pages. It isn’t enough to post a story once or twice a month. You need to be posting content at least on a weekly basis, but ideally every day. Only then will people keep coming back to your pages for more information because you’ll have displayed that your page is worth visiting multiple times.
One of the great things about social media in general is that it gives businesses of all types, including limo businesses, the ability to connect with their customers like never before. If a client that you’ve recently provided a service to has a positive experience, they’re likely to post about it on the Internet generally on their personal Facebook or Twitter accounts. However, if they have a negative experience, they are even more likely to take to the Internet and talk about it. With these types of situations, you need to look at the silver lining and acknowledge the ways in which you can fix those situations. Take a poor customer experience and seize the opportunity to turn it into a great customer service moment by correcting the issue for everyone to see.
Another factor to consider is, to reach the widest possible audience for your business just a Facebook page or just a Twitter profile isn’t going to be enough to get the job done. You need to be constantly utilizing multiple social media techniques for the largest amount of penetration. This means utilizing not just Facebook and Twitter but sites like LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram as well.
